Achieving Pregnancy with Donor Services
Donor sperm and donor eggs can provide a second chance for achieving a successful pregnancy. Most people begin the quest to start a family never considering donor services or surrogacy. A fertility clinic like IVFMD, with advanced options in donor services, redefines what is possible. We provide supportive assistance on this alternate path toward parenthood.
The advanced reproductive technologies at IVFMD, including donor sperm and donor egg options, have helped couples and singles from Irving, Southlake and throughout the DFW area address their unique needs for conceiving a baby. Our fertility specialists routinely work with reputable donor sperm banks, and provide onsite access to donor eggs.
Donor Sperm IUI Opens Doors to a Family
Become an Egg Donor
You can change a life, and enhance yours, when you become an egg donor with IVFMD. Partnering with a reputable fertility clinic for donor sperm IUI can increase your chances for pregnancy.
Women can start or add to their family with a minimally invasive option for fertility treatment. Intrauterine insemination or IUI is an in-office procedure involving a thin catheter to transfer washed and prepared sperm directly into the uterus. With IUI, sperm can be from a partner or from an anonymous donor.
Donor sperm IUI can also benefit couples experiencing severe male factor infertility. While the laboratory professionals at IVFMD can perform intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in conjunction with IVF to overcome severe sperm disorders, donor sperm IUI may be a more affordable option for some couples.
IVF with Donor Eggs
Women of advanced maternal age, or those experiencing premature ovarian failure can greatly enhance their chance to conceive with use of IVF using donor eggs. The chances for conception greatly increase when using donor eggs due to a combination of high embryo quality and a receptive uterus. By deciding to use donor eggs from a pre-screened and highly selective donor egg bank or our in-house donor egg pool, you can significantly increase your chances of having a healthy pregnancy.
With surrogacy, women with anatomic barriers to pregnancy can enlist the help of a surrogate or gestational carrier to carry their pregnancy to term. Texas necessitates the use of a gestational carrier for surrogacy cycles. This is called gestational surrogacy. In gestational surrogacy, the woman that carries the pregnancy does not have a biological connection to the baby.
The Gestational Surrogacy Process
Briefly, after a period of synchronization of the donor and recipient cycles using birth control pill, we prime the intended mother (or in some cases an egg donor) for ovulation induction to produce multiple eggs. At the same time we prepare the uterine lining of the gestational carrier with appropriate hormones to ready it for the implantation process.
Eggs are then collected through the vagina under ultrasound guidance in the clinic using light IV sedation, and are subsequently combined with the father’s sperm or donor sperm the lab to create the embryos. After a culturing period of 5 days, the resulting embryo(s) is/are transferred into the uterus of the surrogate for 9 months of safe keeping.
Third-party surrogacy is a complex process, so finding an experienced fertility clinic to assist you is important.
