Our Facility
Our center meets the highest standards set by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA). These certifying bodies examine all aspects of the laboratory, including methodology, reagents, quality control, medical equipment, specimen handling, procedural manuals, reports and proficiency testing, personnel, safety, and the overall management principles that distinguish a quality laboratory. Successful accreditation indicates that a laboratory belongs to an exclusive group of reproductive laboratories that meet the highest standards of excellence as recognized by its peers.
Our state-of-the-art Embryology Laboratory was designed specifically for the well being of the embryos. Before outside air can enter our Embryology Room it must be filtered by an advanced High Efficiency Particulate Air filtration system (HEPA) to remove 99.9% of particulates down to a diameter of 0.3 micron. The filtered air is further purified through a Four-Stage Filter System (CODATM) that combines a blend of activated carbon and alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate to inactivate a wide variety of harmful Volatile Organic Contaminants (VOCs).
Gases entering our incubators must also pass through an inline filter of HEPA and activated carbon to remove any trace of contaminants. We perform regular testing of the air quality in our laboratory to ensure that optimal conditions are always maintained. Embryos under our care are assured of extremely clean air and gases for their optimal development.
Our embryologists are certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) and have had experience with more than 2,500 ART cycles since 1998. Our clinical and laboratory expertise have helped us to achieve consistently high rates of pregnancy and quality care that we are proud to offer to you.
