Sheela S. Ali, PhD, HCLD, CC, TS, is a distinguished expert in the field of human IVF, with a career spanning over a decade. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Embryology and Andrology from the Jones Institute of Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2013, followed by a PhD in Developmental Biology from the University of North Texas in 2018. During her graduate studies, Dr. Ali’s research focused on E-Cadherin and its significance in trophectoderm grafts from sibling embryos, alongside pioneering the application of Artificial Intelligence and predictive modeling in IVF treatments. Her groundbreaking work in utilizing AI to identify critical thresholds in IVF treatments promises to revolutionize the field by providing efficient real-time support tools for clinical decision-making.

Certified as a High Complexity Laboratory Director, Clinical Consultant, and Technical Supervisor by the American Board of Bio analysts, Dr. Ali’s expertise extends beyond the laboratory. She has contributed her insights as a panelist for NASA’s space biology research program and as an expert reviewer for proposals related to the procurement of PCR testing platforms for SARS-CoV-2 submitted to the United Nations.

Dr. Ali’s impactful contributions to IVF include her role as Vice President of Science and Innovation, where she has spearheaded research, publications, and scientific presentations on preimplantation genetics. Her dedication to the field is further demonstrated by her service as a scientific advisory board member for the College of Reproductive Biology and EmbryVu genetics laboratory. Currently, she serves as a committee member for the ASRM membership committee, SART QA committee, and CRB committee. Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Ali enjoys exploring different cultures through travel, enriching her perspectives and contributing to her well-rounded approach to reproductive healthcare advancement.
